Our Story

The first time we saw this property, we knew it was special.

Grace Valley Stables is a family-owned horse boarding facility operated by Al and Tara Grace. While our last name appears in the name of the farm, we also want to honor the gift of grace we have received from God. After leaving our corporate careers and searching for our next chapter, God led us to this property. We quickly fell in love with the land, and the vision for Grace Valley was born.

Stewardship of land and animals

We have two young children who are deeply interested in horses, and horses have long held a special draw for Al & Tara. The kids love learning about the personalities and needs of our boarded horses, and they are always eager to help around the barn.

It is an honor to care for these animals and to steward this beautiful land. Al brings many years of management, industrial background, and data-analysis to the operation. Over the past few years he has also learned agriculture and become a devoted caretaker of our homestead. Tara became a stay-at-home mom when our oldest was born, which cultivated in her a strong sense of care and attention to detail. As a child she dreamed of becoming a pet psychologist. Although she did earn a bachelor’s degree in psychology, she had never worked with animals until now—so you could say this is her dream job.

Our barn has been blessed with wonderful boarders of all skill levels and disciplines who foster a genuine sense of camaraderie. We find joy in caring for these amazing animals and are deeply committed to each horse’s well-being. We look forward to welcoming you to our barn.
